On three occasions (1995, 2007–08, and 2020–23), White Township attempted to timber the White’s Woods Nature Center, using a variety of rationales as justification, none supported by experts. After meeting for 24 months, in December, 2023, the White Township Stewardship Committee produced a new, 2023 White's Woods Draft Stewardship Plan. This new draft stewardship plan was presented to the White Township Board of Supervisors on December 18, 2024. The plan is currently under review by DCNR
