On three occasions (1995, 2007–08, and 2020–23), White Township attempted to timber the White’s Woods Nature Center, using a variety of rationales as justification, none supported by experts.  After meeting for 24 months, in December, 2023, the White Township Stewardship Committee produced a new, 2023 White's Woods Draft Stewardship Plan.  This new draft stewardship plan was presented to the White Township Board of Supervisors on December 18, 2024. DCNR Bureau of Forestry provided a brief technical review on January 14, 2026.
